Hats Off To Kate Bush

Kate Bush, one of my absolute favorite musicians, male or female. She is such a talented songwriter, singer, and dancer, not to mention she is absolutely gorgeous, then and now. She is often overlooked as a talented musician (in the US at least) because she's a bit eccentric and quite different, vocally, and some people have a hard time understanding what's different.
I have put together a list of my top 15 favorite Kate Bush songs in tribute to her and her upcoming birthday.
But first
HAPPY BIRTHDAY KATE BUSH!

And now, my top 15 favorite Kate songs!
1.  Army  Dreamers

2. Them Heavy People

3. Wow

4. Moving

5. The Man With the Child In His Eyes

11. Kashka From Baghdad

What I'm diggin' right now #2

Strange Young Girls

I was searching Mamas and Papas videos on youtube (nothing out of the ordinary), and I happened to stumble across this gem.
The words are so beautiful and the harmonies are lovely(just as you'd imagine from a Mamas and Papas song.)
Strange Young Girls Lyrics:
Strange young girls
Covered with sadness;
Eyes of innocence
Hiding their madness.
Walking the strip--
Sweet,soft,and placid---
Offering their youth
On the altar of acid.

Thinking these gifts
Were sent by the dove;
Off on a trip
Accompanied by love.

Gentle young girls,
Holding hands walking;
Wisdom flows childlike
While softly talking.
Colors surround them
Bejewling their hair;
Visions astound them,
Demanding their share.

Children of Orpheus
Called by the dove
Off on a trip
Accompanied by love.

Thinking these gifts
Were sent by the dove
Off on a trip
Accompanied by love.

What I'm diggin' right now #1

William-Adolphe Bouguereau

So, the other day I watched a documentary on mermaids. That documentary led to me looking at different mermaid related things, then on to looking at water nymph related things. While looking at water nymphs I ran across a painting that I really liked, titled Nymphs and Satyr. I absolutely loved the look of it, so I looked more into the artist and fell in love with more of his work. Here are some of my favorites.

Nymphs and Satyr
La Nymphee
Femme Au Coquillage
Laurore
Biblis
There are so many other gorgeous Bouguereau paintings, but these are a few of my favorites.

✿In Need of Another Revolution✿

We cannot attain peace with hate. Not peace as a nation, but as people. People at peace, with themselves and one another. Unity, living together, no bouts or battles, but I suppose that goes back to the topic of peace. Love, loving yourself, loving others, loving the earth. It all correlates back to peace, love, and unity any way you look at it. Generosity  being generous, being kind. We are all creatures of the earth, none superior to the other. If you see a fellow creature of the earth in need, don’t hesitate to lend a helping hand or a caring ear that’s willing to listen. Willingness, willingness to listen and to help. Willingness to be reasonable. Willingness to try and understand, truly understand, one another’s differences. Respect, respecting ourselves, respecting one another, respecting beliefs, opinions, personalities, mother nature, and the things around us. It all correlates back to peace, love, unity, and respect. And that’s how we can stop hate. That is how we finally attain “world peace.” World peace seems like a distant dream, a concept, in some ways it is, especially with the world as it is today, but we have to start something before it becomes far beyond impossible. Before we start destroying each other(even more so then already!) We must start the revolution, the revolution of peace and of love. Think about that.
